Italian fashion house Diesel partnered with Moroso to create edgy, contemporary furniture for its Diesel Living line. The resulting Perf Stripe Bar Cabinet is a striking fusion of raw industrial style and refined detailing. Its most distinctive element is the doors: an ultra-high-resolution scan captures the unique texture of Diesel’s jacquard denim, which is then transferred via a special liquid lacquer technique onto the doors to form irregular black and white stripes. Full-length door handles come standard in Diesel White with red as an option. The cabinet’s frame and bottom panels are of matte black lacquered steel, while the top can be of matching steel or dark oak veneer. The striking lacquered steel doors are available in copper, black gloss or verdigris finish. Cabinet dimensions are 80 cm (31.5”) w x 29 cm (11.42”) d x 170 cm (66.93”) h. Each unit is made to order in Italy, with a lead time of 4-6 weeks.

Aussie designer Greg Natale created a limited-edition furniture series for Covet Collection that not only drew inspiration from the sophisticated, sensuous elegance of the film and fashion worlds in the ‘70s and ‘80s, but also named pieces after such icons as Richard Gere, Lauren Hutton, and Anjelica Huston. The tables, case goods, seating, and bedroom sets feature generous, soft, flowing curves tempered by geometric patterns and textures, adding layers of complexity to the otherwise modernist designs.
The round Anjelica Bar Cabinet exudes an Art Deco vibe, with a pair of semi-circular sliding doors, 2 tiers of glass shelves along the back and side walls for liquor and glassware, one pull-out mirrored shelf with a secret bar tools compartment underneath, and a bottom drawer for overflow storage. Known for zany, offbeat anthropomorphic creations, Italian industrial designer Matteo Cibic conjured up a trio of ‘Trojan Horses’ made with denim fringes, leather, and brass. The pony-sized sculpture conceals a dry bar within its body and measures 45 cm (17.7”) d x 210 cm (82.7”) w x 200 cm (78.7”) h. Each sports a different denim color and name: back for Black Beauty, blue for Jolly Jumper, and grey for Gunpowder.
One can find Gunpowder proudly installed at the whimsical Michelin-starred El Coq Restaurant in Vicenza, which Cibic designed for his friend, chef-owner Lorenzo Cogo.
