Here are some more pix from Product Runway<\/a>, the\u00a0American Society of Interior Designers Washington\u00a0State Chapter<\/a> fashion show that uses products and materials for the interior design industry. Our chapter, the California Peninsula Chapter, will be having our pilot show on April 22. We’ll have several photographers and videographers on hand, so we should get some good coverage!<\/p>\n

Unlike\u00a0our Designer Challenge, which is a cross between Project Runway and NASCAR Pit Crew Challenge, the Washington Chapter’s\u00a0show\u00a0was\u00a0a year and a half in the making and had a committee of 30+ people.\u00a0The teams were able to utilize some of the more unusual materials in the interior design industry, like commercial seating,\u00a0office furnishings,\u00a0carpeting, and even lighting fixtures.\u00a0It also hired a professional presentation company\u00a0to\u00a0produce the show, had\u00a0celebrity\u00a0judges for its competition, and sold 300 tickets to the public.<\/p>\n

Part of the culottes was ingeniously turned into a wrap. A team member popped onto the runway to spray ‘graffiti’ on the wrap once the model unfurled and draped it around both shoulders. Very clever indeed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A gown, shawl, and hat made with shimmering window sheers. A very elegant tone-on-tone creation!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Baseball stitches were nice detailing for the dress made from industrial materials.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
